ZAMP 271 – Cracks in the Commonwealth
The Walking Dead returns for Part 2 of its final season, and we’re ready to jump in to the first batch of those episodes. But before we check in on the Commonwealth, we go over the zombie news! Several video game news outlets are reporting on the troubled development behind State of Decay 3, Fear the Walking Dead sets it’s air date for the digital short and we get a first look at the return of Madison, and The Walking Dead Prime wraps up it’s shoot after 11 seasons, 12 years, and 177 episodes!
ZAMP 270 – REturn to the 90’s
Ryan and Lou tuck in for a smashed up retelling of Resident 1 and 2 in Welcome to Raccoon City! But before that movie discussion fun, we go over the latest zombie news, including a bit of Back 4 Blood Check-In for the first DLC expansion, Back 4 Blook being included in the Stand with Ukraine Bundle from Humble Bundle (only available until March 25th), the latest spin-off announced for TWD, and Resident Evil 2, 3, and 7 getting current generation visual upgrades.
ZAMP 269 – Night of the Brain Slugs
Ryan and Lou have yet another Extra Life movie discussion with Night of the Creeps! But before the zombie brain slug fun, we go over the latest zombie news. First up in the news, we have some details about that unannounced Resident Evil 4 remake, then we go over The Last of Us HBO Series likely not making it in 2022, and finally Dead Island 2 is still happening.
ZAMP 268 – Night of the Missing Zombies
Ryan and Lou are ready to settle the Discord feud that is whether or not Night of the Comet is a zombie movie. But before that, we have a few zombie news stories to go through, including The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is getting a sequel and Zombicide is getting a Marvel Zombies variation thanks to a successful Kickstarter. After the Night of the Comet fun, we close the show with a preview of future content and a listener email.
ZAMP 267 – Zombie 2022 Preview
Welcome to 2022 zombie fans, here’s to another year of epic zombie content and ZAMP episodes! We kick off the show with a final update for our Extra Life 2021 campaign, which includes three new movies added to our discussion pile. Moving into the zombie news, the maybe zombie game Rainbow Six Extraction will be on Xbox and PC Game Pass day one, Resident Evil Code Veronica is getting a fan remake (and likely a cease and desist from Capcom), the new Evil Dead video game will feature the cast from the original film, and students fight for their lives in the new Netflix series All Of Us Are Dead. Closing out the episode, Ryan and Lou chat about their favourite zombie content of 2021, then look ahead at what’s in store for 2022.
ZAMP 266 – World Beyond Is Gone
We leave 2021 behind alongside The Walking Dead World Beyond, as Season 2 marks the series end. But before that we have an Extra Life update, where donations are still open for zombie movie discussion fun! In the zombie news, Nick Offerman joins the cast of HBO’s The Last of Us, Netflix gave us a brief teaser for their Resident Evil series, and we discuss that HUGE TWD news (AMC’s words, not ours – but we’re still excited). Moving into our main topic, Ryan and Lou discuss their thoughts on the series finale for The Walking Dead World Beyond, including our favourite and not so favourite moments. What does this series mean for the future of The Walking Dead? We’ll just have to wait and see…
ZAMP 265 – Maybe Fear The Reapers
Ryan and Lou are looking to wrap up The Walking Dead Season 11 Part 1, as our heroes try to survive while dealing with the Reaper threat. But before we talk about Pope and the gang, we kick things off with a little Extra Life plug and Busy Zombie Lord donation movie recommendation. In the zombie news the sequel to Wrymwood has a trailer, Train to Busan may be turning into a trilogy of films, Bruce Campbell sheds some light on the next Evil Dead, and TWD will have a huge announcement soon (not Rick Grimes related). After our Reaper chat, we read a listener email with a special assignment for our Iowa listeners.
ZAMP 264 – Dodging The Dead In The Desert
Welcome to our first Extra Life donor zombie movie discussion! Ryan and Lou visit The Dead, a 2010 film by the Ford Brothers. But before that fun, we check in with Back 4 Blood which includes some news of future free and paid content. Moving into the news while we question whether Rainbow Six Extraction is a zombie film, Ubisoft details launch plans for January. Also, Disney confirms a Marvel Zombies animated series and the English remake of Last Train to Busan will be known as Last Train to New York.
ZAMP 263 – Double the Apocalypse
Fear The Walking Dead is back, and so are we! But before the exciting return of our favourite Walking Dead AMC production, we update everyone on Extra Life and our time with Back 4 Blood so far. In the news we contemplate adding Fortnite to the list of “do not discuss in the news” as Chris and Jill from Resident Evil will be added to the game. Zack Snyder reveals the Army of the Dead 2 title, and Bruce Campbell brings the Christmas zombie cheer in Black Friday. And of course, we close the show out with a discussion on Fear The Walking Dead and the Season 7 premiere.
ZAMP 262 – Returning to World Beyond
Ryan and Lou return to World Beyond with the Season 2 premiere, but before that we have an Extra Life update thanks to our first donation. Next we introduce a new segment dubbed Back 4 Blood Corner, inspired by our Resident Evil Village Corner not too long ago. We check in on the latest zombie news including Stubbs the Zombie being free on the Epic Games Store, Rick Grimes joining Fortnite, and the Good and the Bad trailer for the new Resident Evil movie. Finally, we cap off the show with a discussion on the Season 2 premiere of The Walking Dead: World Beyond.
