We enjoyed our time with Joe Bob Briggs earlier this summer we decided to revisit The Last Drive-In with Dead and Buried! But before that, we catch up on the zombie news which saw the unfortunate confirmation that Resident Evil has been cancelled at Netflix. Also, some cool The Last of Us updates with a first look at the HBO series arriving in 2023, and the release of the Last of Us Part I remake on PlayStation 5. Keeping with the video game theme, Dead by Daylight received it’s latest Resident Evil content, while Dead Island 2 resurfaces with a new trailer and release date.

We kick things off with two Humble Bundles for zombie related content, the first being for The Walking Dead and the second for Resident Evil. Back 4 Blood details it’s second major expansion out later this month, and Dead by Daylight confirms their next batch of Resident Evil DLC. Moving over to San Diego Comic-Con, AMC’s The Walking Dead franchise received a new trailer for TWD Prime and Tales of the Walking Dead. Plus a confirmation of a Rick + Michonne spinoff for 2023! Finally, we got our first details for Marvel Zombies on Disney+.
We’ve finally caught up on Fear The Walking Dead, which includes a goodbye to some characters alongside a big return. But before we discuss all the Part 2 of Season 7 fun, we have some zombie news to go over! Following up on our last episode, a remake of Lollipop Chainsaw has been confirmed for 2023. We now have a confirmed date for Tales of the Walking Dead, and a new video game will be arriving this Fall which is heavily inspired by the original Resident Evil. Teasing next episode, we also get some very early impressions from Lou on the newest Resident Evil series on Netflix.
We return to the 1968 version of Night of the Living Dead, with a little help from The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs. Ryan caught a French sci-fi film that appears to have zombies in it, the Carol-Daryl spinoff is now minus a Carol, Fear The Walking Dead’s actress that plays Alicia could be too busy with Hulu, and Netflix provides not one but two trailers for their new Resident Evil series due out on July 14th.
Ryan and Lou are ready to wrap up The Walking Dead Season 11 Part 2, but before that discussion we go over the last two weeks of zombie news. And it turns out that news is ALSO The Walking Dead focused, so it’s one of those episodes. We got our first look at Tales of The Walking Dead in a 15 second teaser, as well as a trailer for the now launched Fear The Walking Dead spin off Dead in the Water.
