Ryan and Lou return to World Beyond with the Season 2 premiere, but before that we have an Extra Life update thanks to our first donation. Next we introduce a new segment dubbed Back 4 Blood Corner, inspired by our Resident Evil Village Corner not too long ago. We check in on the latest zombie news including Stubbs the Zombie being free on the Epic Games Store, Rick Grimes joining Fortnite, and the Good and the Bad trailer for the new Resident Evil movie. Finally, we cap off the show with a discussion on the Season 2 premiere of The Walking Dead: World Beyond.
Ryan and Lou kick things off with a brand new segment for Extra Life, where the Busy Zombie Lord himself suggests some deep cut zombie films we haven’t watched yet for the podcast. Be sure to donate and we’ll start watching your picks ASAP! We then move into the news where The Last of Us Day just wrapped this week with a first look at the HBO series and an update on the standalone multiplayer project. Also Resident Evil 4 will be available on yet another platform this October, this time in VR with Oculus Quest 2. Moving into our topic, after discussing Night of the Living Dead 1990 on the Joe Blow Horror Show, we decided to bring the discussion to ZAMP as well!
We start the show by detailing our return to Extra Life, with a zombie movie incentive that you do not want to miss. Plus it’s for charity, a great cause AND you get us to watch more zombie movies of your choosing. No brainer! In the news we have our first look at Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, Dying Light 2 has been delayed to February 2022, Back 4 Blood has a new campaign trailer, and Mark Millar thinks a live action Marvel Zombies is on the way. Moving into our topics this week, we start with Disney+ What If… and their Marvel Zombies episode, then catch up on that cliffhanger for The Walking Dead Season 11 premiere.
A very tired Busy Zombie Lord joins Ryan to discuss their brief time with the Back 4 Blood beta, and are both very excited for launch later this year. In the zombie news, we have a confirmation on when to expect the Marvel Zombies episode of What If…, State of Decay 2 gets a free update as we wait for State of Decay 3, and GamesCom brings us another trailer for Dying Light 2: Stay Human. Moving to our topic, The Walking Dead is back so we discuss the season 11 premiere.
We announce the winner of our Stubbs the Zombie giveaway, then move into the news where we discuss the upcoming Back 4 Blood open beta, Evil Dead: The Game delayed to February 2022, and Night of the Animated Dead has it’s first trailer. We close out the bulk of the show with our thoughts on Black Summer, the Z-Nation prequel series exclusive to Netflix.
We return, after a slight delay in the schedule, to chat about all the zombie news to arrive in the last three weeks. This includes all the AMC fun that was announced at San-Diego Comic-Con At-Home. In the general news we chat about the new Last of Us fan film titled Stay, Marvel shows off more Marvel Zombies in the new What If… series, SyFy’s Day of the Dead has it’s first trailer, and Army of Thieves references zombies so we’re going to talk about it. Shifting gears, we then focus on all the AMC The Walking Dead news from Comic-Con, including new looks at Season 11 of The Walking Dead, Season 2 of World Beyond, two previews for Fear The Walking Dead Season 7, AND more talk of how the Rick Grimes movies will be worth the wait. Oh, and don’t forget to enter our Stubbs the Zombie on Steam giveaway. But you’ll have to listen to the episode to find out how!
Ryan and Lou are back with more Resident Evil goodness, taking a close look at the brand new Netflix series featuring Leon and Claire titled Resident Evil Infinite Darkness. But before our topic discussion we go over the last few weeks of zombie news. This includes Night of the Living Dead related news with an unofficial sequel to Day of the Dead titled Night of the Living Dead 2, and an official Night of the Living Dead animated remake. In The Walking Dead news, there’s still time to claim your free copy of Bridge Constructor TWD from Epic Games, Fear gets another digital spin-off soon, and TWD Season 11 has another teaser trailer.
We welcome back Jocelyn Kearney to the show from The Gamers’ Inn and The Angry Chicken to chat about Dead by Daylight and the second half of Fear The Walking Dead Season 6. We kick off the show with the Resident Evil Village Corner, where we discuss Capcom’s announcement of Resident Evil Village DLC being in development. In other zombie news, the Resident Evil chapter in Dead by Daylight is now available, Netflix confirms some cast members for their live-action Resident Evil series, The Evil Dead: The Game has a new trailer from E3 2021, and Xbox Game Pass scoops up Back 4 Blood on day one. We close out the show with a great discussion about the second half of Fear The Walking Dead Season 6, and what the future could hold for the show.
We kick things off with more Village in the Resident Evil Village Corner. Lou has completed the game twice, and Ryan has enjoyed three segments of the game thanks to Scott Johnson’s play through. In the news we catch up on the last month, continuing with Resident Evil where Netflix has confirmed a release for the Infinite Darkness TV Series on July 8th, Back 4 Blood details the new characters and zombies, Lucasfilm Games is bringing back some zombie SNES classics, Dead by Daylight X RE has been detailed, and Dying Light 2 finally has a release date. Finally, we’ve had some time to process our Army of the Dead watch, and share our final thoughts on the film, and hopes for the future of a Zombie Snyderverse.
Army of the Dead is finally here and we celebrate with our very first ZAMP community watch along! Ryan and Lou welcome Grindhouse Zombie and Lonely Bob as we all watch Netflix’s new big budget zombie Zack Snyder epic. This is an audio commentary track, so it’s best enjoyed when syncing up the movie with this podcast. Be sure to pause as the N in Netflix is fully formed, then hit play with the countdown!
