Ryan and Lou are back with more Resident Evil goodness, taking a close look at the brand new Netflix series featuring Leon and Claire titled Resident Evil Infinite Darkness. But before our topic discussion we go over the last few weeks of zombie news. This includes Night of the Living Dead related news with an unofficial sequel to Day of the Dead titled Night of the Living Dead 2, and an official Night of the Living Dead animated remake. In The Walking Dead news, there’s still time to claim your free copy of Bridge Constructor TWD from Epic Games, Fear gets another digital spin-off soon, and TWD Season 11 has another teaser trailer.
We welcome back Jocelyn Kearney to the show from The Gamers’ Inn and The Angry Chicken to chat about Dead by Daylight and the second half of Fear The Walking Dead Season 6. We kick off the show with the Resident Evil Village Corner, where we discuss Capcom’s announcement of Resident Evil Village DLC being in development. In other zombie news, the Resident Evil chapter in Dead by Daylight is now available, Netflix confirms some cast members for their live-action Resident Evil series, The Evil Dead: The Game has a new trailer from E3 2021, and Xbox Game Pass scoops up Back 4 Blood on day one. We close out the show with a great discussion about the second half of Fear The Walking Dead Season 6, and what the future could hold for the show.
We kick things off with more Village in the Resident Evil Village Corner. Lou has completed the game twice, and Ryan has enjoyed three segments of the game thanks to Scott Johnson’s play through. In the news we catch up on the last month, continuing with Resident Evil where Netflix has confirmed a release for the Infinite Darkness TV Series on July 8th, Back 4 Blood details the new characters and zombies, Lucasfilm Games is bringing back some zombie SNES classics, Dead by Daylight X RE has been detailed, and Dying Light 2 finally has a release date. Finally, we’ve had some time to process our Army of the Dead watch, and share our final thoughts on the film, and hopes for the future of a Zombie Snyderverse.
Army of the Dead is finally here and we celebrate with our very first ZAMP community watch along! Ryan and Lou welcome Grindhouse Zombie and Lonely Bob as we all watch Netflix’s new big budget zombie Zack Snyder epic. This is an audio commentary track, so it’s best enjoyed when syncing up the movie with this podcast. Be sure to pause as the N in Netflix is fully formed, then hit play with the countdown!
We kick things off with a brand new segment titled The Resident Evil Village Corner (we welcome new naming conventions). Then we move into the zombie news where Resident Evil Re:Verse has been delayed to Summer, Naughty Dog has an outline for The Last of Us Part 3, and Back 4 Blood details its card system. For our topic, we go over Blood Quantum, then end the episode with a listener email.
Ryan and Lou return to close the book on Season 10 of The Walking Dead, and can’t help but jump right into Fear The Walking Dead to chat about the moments leading up to the conclusion of the premiere. But before we dig into the latest from AMC, we go over the news! Plenty of Days Gone popping up in our video game feeds, including the release date of the PC version, Days Gone 2 is not happening at Bend (but a Last of Us Remake is), and the lead writer and creative director has some thoughts on buying a game at launch. In other news, Tommy has been cast in HBO’s The Last of Us series, Army of the Dead has a new fantastic trailer, and everything announced on the latest Resident Evil showcase.
Celebrating ZAMP 250 the only way we know how, with zombie news, The Walking Dead, and ZOMEMORIES! In the news we chat about Back 4 Blood being delayed from Summer to October 12th, the Resident Evil movie reboot has also been delayed to November, and AMC confirms the premiere date for the final season of The Walking Dead. Speaking of that, The Walking Dead returned with an extended Season 10, so our topic this week is the first three episodes of 10C. Finally, we close out the show with our own ZOMEMORIES and a few from our listeners. Thank you to everyone who has supported the show over the years, we really appreciate it!
The time has finally come, Stubbs the Zombie has been re-released and we’re ready to cover it on the show! Lou, a returning Stubbs fan, guides Ryan through the wonderful world of Rebel Without A Pulse. But before we bite into this 2005 cult classic, we have zombie news to catch up on. There’s a new zombie survival game coming to Steam Early Access in 2021 called Dead Matter, we have a release date for the Resident Evil movie reboot, Netflix confirms RE2 Remake voice actors will return for Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, and the devs behind Dying Light 2 commit to more updates and a release window.
We return to complete our Extra Life fun with a movie discussion of Planet Terror! But before we get to the finger licking good clips, we catch up on the last month in zombie news. HBO casts it’s main leads for The Last of Us series, Stubbs the Zombie is BACK in a few weeks, Train to Busan is getting a US adaptation, and Netflix drops a release date and teaser trailer for Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead.
After what we believe to be FOUR LONG YEARS (we could be wrong and Absolute Zombie has just scarred us so), we’re back with a new audio commentary! We sit down and welcome you to watch Planet Terror with us. Please let us know if you end up enjoying this audio commentary, as we had a great time putting it together and would like to do more in the near future. Well, nearer than four years, we promise!
