We conclude our viewing of the Return of the Living Dead franchise with Necropolis… But before that fun, we go over the zombie news! Fear The Walking Dead is scheduled to return on April 11th, and The Walking Dead’s Season 10C will get an early run on AMC+ by about a week. We may have been given a hint at when we can expect Army of the Dead to premiere on Netflix. Finally, sad news from the voice actor community, Jeanette Maus, a voice actor from Resident Evil Village has passed away at the age of 39.
Are you ready to Rave to the Grave? Because we are! But before that, we welcome our special guest Brent, who donated to our Extra Life campaign to suggest three films and join us on the show. We all break down a pretty zombie news heavy few weeks, kicking things off with everything announced at the RE Showcase, The Last of Us HBO series has a new director, SyFy’s Day of the Dead series will connect to the original classic, and AMC has a whole year of The Walking Dead scheduled (plus a TWD S10C trailer). Brent has a zombie board game to recommend with Zombicide: Night of the Living Dead. We close out the show with a discussion centred around Return of the Living Dead: Rave to the Grave. Tuck in folks, this is our biggest episode in some time!
ZAMP has returned for 2021, and after we catch up on the zombie news, we welcome back a much requested feature to the podcast: CLIPS! Our first Extra Life donor sponsored film discussion is #Alive on Netflix. In the news, we discussed Day of the Dead actor Gary Klar passing away and the Resident Evil movie reboot getting a release date.
The Game Awards announce several unofficial sequels but not actually sequels including Back 4 Blood which is not a sequel to Left 4 Dead….. No really, not a sequel…. Also more Evil Dead with Evil Dead: The Game! Deep Silver swears Dead Island 2 is not cancelled. Maybe Madison is returning to Fear, or not, Gimple is playing Gimple. Our main topic is the dreaded (Lou: painful) to watch The Walking Dead: World Beyond. Does it have any redeeming value or do teens just suck in the zombie apocalypse? We give you the run down and more (Gimple)!
We kick things off with a BIG (and what should be fun) update on Extra Life. There’s still time to donate if you want to add your favourite zombie film to the mix. In the news, we follow up on our last episode with a Vice story detailing the development of Ray’s The Dead, first look images from the Resident Evil reboot movie, a teaser for the return of The Walking Dead on February 28th, and HBO gives a series order to The Last of Us. For our topic, we’re discussing the first half of Season 6 for Fear The Walking Dead. Turns out, we LOVED this season. Lou loved it so much, he wants to avoid spoilers from the teaser for Season 6B. Hope you enjoyed FTWD as much as we have, see you next episode for thoughts on The World Beyond.
The wait is finally over! Ray’s The Dead has arrived and we have thoughts to share on the new zombie strategy game (don’t forget to check our video companion for the game). But before we dive further into Ray’s adventure, we go over the zombie news. We break the emergency glass to cover Call of Duty Zombies, with the new Onslaught mode in Black Ops Cold War being exclusive to PlayStation. In other news, Capcom considers the new Netflix Resident Evil anime canon, Rainbow Six Quarantine has been delayed, TWD casts Lucille for Season 10C, and The Walking Dead will have a holiday special next month.
After a LOOONG wait for the season finale to The Walking Dead’s Season 10, Ryan and Lou can finally share their thoughts on the now Season 10B mid-season finale (we’re getting Season 10C in early 2021). But before the Whisperers take their last bow, we have news to chat about! We kick things off with a few corrections on our Magic The Gathering X The Walking Dead story from our last episode. As for more recent news, Resident Evil is getting a live action movie reboot focusing more on the first two games, and Ray’s The Dead finally has a release date. Speaking of Ray’s The Dead, our next episode will focus specifically on the game, looking forward to finally being able to play this one!
Ryan and Lou are excited to bring back ZAMP Plays, to showcase gameplay for the new Left 4 Dead 2 update titled The Last Stand. Alongside that gameplay video, on this episode we discuss our time with the update and what it contains. In the news we chat about Netflix announcing an anime series based on Resident Evil, Magic the Gathering brings Negan and other Walking Dead staples into the fold, and we have our first look at the next Call of Duty Zombies.
We’ve got a jam packed Listener Feedback focused episode, but before we answer your burning questions, we have some news to go over! In what could be the biggest news for The Walking Dead since the comic ending it’s run, AMC has announced The Walking Dead Prime will end in 2022 after an extended Season 11. But don’t fret, they announced two new series. Turns out when a zombie bursts through a door, survivors crash through a few windows (I believe is the saying). In our email section, we chat about our Romero episode, our role-playing episode, and more!
Ryan and Lou have both watched Yummy, which means it’s time to discuss another zombie film! But before we chow down on that lovely 90’s throwback, we have a full slate of news. The Walking Dead will be getting another VR game called TWD Onslaught, Zack Snyder’s “Army of the Dead” will see Chris D’Elia replaced by Tig Notaro, Left 4 Dead 2 will see an update soon, Bridge Constructor is getting The Walking Dead treatment, and Netflix finally confirms their live action Resident Evil series with first details.
